Local Rules

1. STARTING TIME

The committee shall lay down the date and times of each competition in which competitors shall play. The player shall report to the starter, ten Minutes before tee-off time.

Penalty for breach of this rule is two strokes where the committee decides to allow the player to participate in the game. Rule 33-1 would apply.

    2. PREFERRED LIE

Preferred lie shall be allowed except when the committee so rules

(a). When preferred lies are allowed. It shall be within score card length except on wrong fairways and areas indicated as rough.

(b). ONLY MOWN AREAS OF EVERY HOLE SIGNIFY THE FAIRWAY, WHETHER THERE ARE MARKERS OR NOT. NO UNCUT FAIRWAY.

3. (a). FAIRWAYS AND ROUGHS

(i). These have been clearly marked and should be observed while on the course.

(ii). A ball lying on a stone /rock either on the fairway or wrong fairway as long as it not in the rough, May be dropped but not Nearer the Hole without penalty provided is confirmed by other members(The Team)

(b). TREE AND SHRUBS

(i). A ball coming to rest less than a club length to the root of a young tree must be lifted and dropped. A player shall take a club length from the root of the tree but not nearer the hole without penalty.

        4. IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS

The following are immovable obstructions:

(a). Fixed concrete and wooden Benches

(b). Buildings within the course

(c). Grass Cutting, Rolling and Watering equipments

(d). Protective Wire fences not being part of the boundaries of the course.

(e). Felled trees and cut or broken-off branches which are beyond the power of the player to move.

(f). Drainage pipes and ditches leading from putting browns

(g). Concrete Brigdes and culverts

(h). Concrete drainage

           A ball coming to rest in the drainage or less than a club length to the drainage may be dropped not nearer the hole without penalty.

(Affected  Areas are Holes no, 1,7,9,10,14,15 and 16)

       5. OUT OF BOUNDS

Out of bounds Except Indicated. Rule –27 shall apply

       6. PUTTING BROWNS

(a) Surface irregularities shall be smoothened across the line of PUT only with the SACK or SWEEPER provided

(b) A ball coming to rest on the brown can be lifted provided it is marked by the player with a marker or Coin but not (Tee Peg) . penalty for breach of Rule 6(a) and (b) : one stroke\.

(c) A ball lying on the brown and less than 30cm (12 inches)  to the edge of the brown shall be lifted and placed place on the grass in line with its original position to the flag.
